Hazel Mouls Counselling
When you contact me I can arrange an assessment session. This allows me to find out about you and your background, what brings you to counselling and what you would like to achieve. The session is also an opportunity for you to decide whether you would feel comfortable with me as your counsellor.
After our first meeting, counselling sessions are on a regular weekly basis, normally on the same day and at the same time, and last for 50 minutes. I offer both short-term and open-ended counselling. Short-term counselling tends to be for 6-12 sessions, but there is always an option to extend.
As a humanistic counsellor I believe that we all have the ability to heal and move our lives forward. I aim to provide a warm, empathic relationship and I will listen to you carefully without making judgements. I will offer you the opportunity to explore your feelings and current difficulties, perhaps looking at how the past still impacts you now or at patterns of behaviour that no longer serve you well. My hope is that you will gain a better understanding and acceptance of yourself, so that you can achieve your goals, find better ways to cope with the issues that you are facing and move towards living life in a more fulfilling way.
Bereavement
I offer specialist bereavement counselling which can support you to cope with the pain and potential loneliness of grief. Bereavement counselling offers the opportunity to be able to express your feelings about your loss, understand the process of loss and to explore areas that potentially prevent you from moving on.
